6th Widex Dealers Meet in Australia, July 26 – 30, 2010

Reaching another pinnacle of excellence in hearing aid future, the 6th Widex Dealers meet was held, having over 30 top dealers, from the corners of India, Nepal and Bangladesh. The conference was an occasion to recognize peoples talent and acknowledge their outstanding contribution with the best Dealer Awards for making Widex India a leader in the domain.
Commenced on July 26th 2010, a team of 60 delegates attended the conference for a five day interactive training session. To make this event a more enriching experience, live presentation of new products and several technical sessions were organised. Came forth an information meet addressed by eminent speakers like Ms. Gretchen Ball, Clinical Audiologist, Widex Australia and other dignitaries from the house.

Mr. T S Anand , Managing Director, Widex India gave a presentation, talking about the latest innovations and better technology advancements on the healthy hearing aid solutions.

Further, followed by an overview of Widex Product Portfolio, by Mr. Lokesh Jha, National Sales Manager, Widex India.

Apart from this, the conference was a platform to officially launch its latest hearing aids, Baby440 and Clear Passion440 in India. Widex unveiled its new BABY440 hearing aid, based on the passion micro size housing, devoting it specially to impaired babies hearing. The BB4 is a RITE model, with a ClearBand wide bandwidth, two-way receiver setting within baby's concha, where it is affixed to a soft anchor for retention, alongwith a new triple-flanged ear-tip. The topside of the BB4 aid has a LED that indicates battery function, while the base has an eye loop for a secure fix retention cord, to prevent the loss of aid.

The Dual ISP ( integrated signal processing ) with 15 channels makes BB4 a set nothing less than Passion440 or Mind440 series (including audibility extender frequency transposition).Its high frequency output from the ClearBand receiver extends beyond 10kHz and is advantageous for language development in infants.

The product gives an extra edge to the audiologist by empowering them with a choice of using Widex Pediatric Rationale (WPR) or the globally recognised DSL v5 rationale, while fitting a Widex Compass software.

Apart from this Widex has also added five channel, Mind220 series to the value market segment, to complete its Dual ISP platform based products, bringing a notable addition to the audibility extender linear frequency transposition segment.
To make this event a memorable one, the event took place in the scenic framework of beaches, ferries, surfing and theme park. The delegates enjoyed numerous breathtaking stunts by Hollywood Stunt Driver at the Movie World. Super Escape, Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster, Wild West Falls, Batman Adventure, Road Runner Roller Coaster, Shrek 4D adventure, a city tour to surfers paradise, honey bee tasting, Burleigh Kirra and Snapper Rocks were some of the major fun filled activities. Including the immensely popular dinner gala at Mclarens Landing- A mystique island.

The meet concluded with 23dealers being awarded at the ceremony, accompanied by a lavish dinner, which began with a live rock band performance. On the whole, the meet proved to be a very fruitful and fun-filled event. A magical experience, that left every mind enriched and assured of a bright and successful future of Widex India, that has miles to go.
